| چکیده | ||
| حجاب دستوری قرآنی و تکلیفی دینی است که به واسطه ماهیت اجتماعی آن، فراتر از ادای تکلیف فردی توسط دینمداران، هنجاری لازمالاجرا در جامعه دینی محسوب می‌شود. تتبع در منابع نشان می‌دهد که زنان در عموم ادوار و جوامع داشتن پوشش را رعایت میکردهاند؛ اما حجاب (به معنای پوشش زن در برابر نامحرم با ملاحظه اعلام شده آن) از احکام تأسیسی اسلام است. از این رو تبیین حدود و ثغور مفهوم حجاب تنها با تکیه بر نصوص و ادله دینی امکانپذیر است. اما شکل آن، بسته به عوامل مختلف، در هر سرزمین تفاوت می‌کند. این مقاله به بررسی معنای لغوی و اصطلاحی حجاب، مفهوم این واژه در قرآن، ره‌گیری آن در منابع فقهی، آرای فقهای امامی و اهل سنت درباره حدود حجاب و نیز عصر جدید و مسئله حجاب اسلامی پرداخته است و حدود حجاب شرعی را بیان نموده است. | ||

| Wearing hijab (modest apparel) is a Quranic and religious obligation which due to its social nature is considered to be more than just an individual responsibility. An inquiry into documents shows that women of all ages and communities compiled with the wearing of modest apparel; however modest apparel meaning women's cover with respect to the declared rules of hijab in Islam. Hence defining the limits and frontiers of the concepts of modest apparel are possible only by basing them on religious texts and reasoning. Being dependent on various factors, hijab is different in each country. In this paper the denotative and connotative meaning of "hijab" in the Quran and legal resources of shiite and sunni jurists concerning modest apparel and also the new age and the issue of Islamic modesty have been addressed and the limits of the religious modest apparel have been stated. | ||
