چکیده | ||

چکیده [English] | ||
As it is familiar to every follower of Islamic philosophy or intellectual tradition, man is defined as an intermediate and borderline being in this tradition. In the sense that man is a being in the middle of an animal and an angel and on the border between the two and there is the possibility of his fall or ascension to one of these levels of existence at any moment. In this article, we try to approach a philosophical explanation of this intermediate and borderline human condition based on the image presented of the power of imagination in the philosophy of Farabi and Kant. According to this, our special problem in this article is to see if it is possible to tunnel from imagination-based epistemology to an ontology and thus to a imagination-based anthropology or not. This question has led us to a path for which this article can only be the first step for it. We have taken this step as follows: since the importance and position of imagination in Kant only shows itself in the discussion of transcendental deduction, we have first tried to trace transcendental deduction in the way that imagination reveals its role and put emphasis on two levels of productive and reproductive imagination , and in the next step, we have tried to follow these two levels of imagination in Farabi's thoughts without intending to make a crude comparison or create an identity between the two philosophers, and by relying on the analytical method We try to search for the foundation of an anthropology in terms of the power of imagination in the thought of these two philosophers. We have argued that the mediating role of imagination in the realization of knowledge among these two philosophers provides us with the possibility of establishing such an idea.
